Case StudyA large medical equipment company hired us to create the first overhead surgical light in the world to meet IEC standards. Achieving extreme optical brightness, high color quality, and efficient thermal management were only a few of the demanding requirements.Innovations in Optics met these challenges by developing a solution that included several patent-pending technologies. We built prototypes of the surgical light and demonstrated optical power exceeding 1,000 lumens, CRI above 95, and color temperature of 4,200K. The project has been so successful that we are presently preparing to manufacture the light engine at the heart the overhead light in volume production.
